This article is intended for those organizations that manage their own DIR3 codes.
If the AOC Consortium manages the codes of your organization (Local Entities) you do not have to follow these instructions.

⚠️ Public sector organizations of the Generalitat must contact the Digital and In-Person Attention Service of the Department of the Presidency to manage the registrations or modifications of DIR3 offices, as well as the registration in SIR.

AOC cannot manage the codes of entities that in DIR3 are of the type “Universities” or “Other Institutions”. For entities of the type Other institutions, you can contact Dir3 Support directly to create the Registry office.

If your organization manages its own DIR3 codes, below we explain what you need to do to create the office necessary to have SIR and how changes made to the DIR3 structure may affect SIR.

🏢 How to create a DIR3 Registration Office to register it with SIR

From the AOC Consortium we manage the DIR3 codes of most local bodies in Catalonia, but some local bodies (usually large ones) manage their codes directly.

The organization's DIR3 administrator will need to follow these steps to register the new office:  

  1. Connect the VPN to access Xarxa Sara

  2. With the VPN connected, access the DIR3 code management website and identify yourself (access is only available through Xarxa Sara).  

  3. From the "Offices" section press "New office"  

  4. Fill in the details of the new registry office as follows:

    • Name of the office : General Registry of [Name of the entity] *  

    • Administration : The specific type of administration (local, universities, other organizations...)  

    • Responsible Unit : You must indicate the name of the organic Unit corresponding to the EACAT entity. **

    • Services : Registry Office  

    • Related organic units : Indicate the name of the body to which it depends.  

      The rest of the data will be filled in with the information from each entity.

      *💡 Important: the name of the office must include the full name of the entity , to facilitate its identification by other organizations and citizens who wish to send you documentation.

      **⚠️ To correctly link the organic unit with EACAT, the “Supplier Code” field must include the INE10 code of the entity. If this code is modified or deleted, the SIR service will stop working.

When the administrator has created the new office ➡️ open a support request for us, indicating the office code (it starts with the letter O ) and from AOC we will manage the registration of the entity in SIR .

We want to make changes to the structure of DIR3, does it affect SIR?

Remember, if AOC manages your codes, this information does not affect you. Only if it is your organization that manages its own DIR3 codes.

  If you want to make changes to the structure of the different organic units that depend on the main organic Unit, it is important that you do not modify the hierarchy relationship between the Registry office registered in SIR with the organic unit linked to EACAT (that is, do not modify the “Responsible Unit” of the Registry Office SIR).  

If you modify the relationship in DIR3, the organization's SIR service will stop working. If it is essential to make a change to this relationship, please, before making the changes in DIR3, contact us through a support request to detail the casuistry and we will try to find the best solution for your case.
