1. What are they?
Automatic users are created when a person accesses the new EACAT for the first time with a T-CAT digital certificate or via GICAR (application for logging in to EACAT for users of the Generalitat de Catalunya), and do not previously exist on the platform. The system automatically obtains their identification data (such as the NIF) from one of the two aforementioned authentication methods. The purpose of this process is to guarantee traceability and auditing.
Manual users, on the other hand, are created by the person managing EACAT.
2. How to know if a user is automatic or manual?
From Administration settings > Services AOC > Users account_circle:
Check the Registration Process column to identify whether a user is automatic or manual.
Use the Registration Process filter with the options:
All
Manual
Automatic
3. What are the differences between automatic and manual users?
Automatic users | Manual users | |
| Creation | They are automatically created in the new EACAT when the person accesses for the first time with a digital certificate or via GICAR, if it did not previously exist. | They are created manually by the manager. |
| Initial status and permissions | They are generated in an active state but without any permissions assigned. | They are created active and when they are assigned basic permission. |
| Access to functionalities | They can only see the Home page, the Personal Space and the AOC Services Directory. | They can also access the Catalog of services and procedures and the EACAT Procedures Processing Space . |
4. Does the digital certificate identify the user to an entity?
Yes, as long as the certificate is a T-CAT, as it automatically incorporates the information of the entity to which the public worker belongs. When this person is identified for the first time in the new EACAT, the system uses this data to assign them to their entity and guarantee traceability and auditing .
If you access with a personal IdCAT certificate , it will only be possible to enter the platform if the person is already registered as a user in EACAT; otherwise, access will be rejected.
6. What do you do when you don't recognize an automatic user?
Check if anyone on your team has recently accessed with a digital certificate or GICAR . The automatic creation is not an error but is done to ensure traceability and auditing. If you still consider that the user should not exist , change its status to “inactive” . This will prevent it from being automatically created again on the platform, even if you delete it.
7. How do you assign basic permission to an automatic user in EACAT Procedures?
Access Administration settings > Services AOC > Users account_circle >
Select the automatic user.
Go to Services AOC and turn on the Basic permission switch.
8. What happens if you deactivate a user?
If you deactivate a user, they will not be able to access the new EACAT.
