This article is aimed at public administrations. If you are a citizen interested in obtaining the population register , visit your city council's website to obtain instructions on how to make the request.

The communication of address data is part of the Via Oberta Registry service .

The objective of the Padró service is to facilitate the exchange of data from the municipal population register (PMH) between public administrations and other entities with legal and security guarantees, to avoid citizens having to present documentation to prove their address. To this end, it includes two inter-administrative collaboration services:

  • The electronic communication, by an interested party, of the data of their residence address to a set of public administrations.
  • The electronic consultation of data from the municipal population register at the request of a public administration or an interested party within the framework of a procedure or management that requires the accreditation of the address of residence.

In both cases it is necessary that the city council has configured itself as the transferor of its PMH data, through one of two options:

  • Municipalities with +20,000 inhabitants can directly connect their PMH to the Via Oberta Registry service. To do so, you must have signed a collaboration agreement with the AOC Consortium.
Once the agreement has been signed, the city council must contact the Integration Support Office using the following form , specifying the option Via Oberta as the service involved and the Subject: “Integration of the PMH into the Registry service”.
  • Municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants can delegate the management of their PMH to a supra-municipal body (Diputación or Regional Council) with whom the AOC Consortium has signed a collaboration agreement for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the municipal register of inhabitants.
    • Collaboration Agreement between the AOC Consortium and the Barcelona Provincial Council for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the Municipal Population Register
    • Collaboration Agreement between the AOC Consortium and the Girona Provincial Council for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the Municipal Population Register
    • Collaboration Agreement between the AOC Consortium and the Provincial Council of Lleida for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the Municipal Population Register
    • Collaboration Agreement between the AOC Consortium and the Tarragona Provincial Council for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the Municipal Population Register
    • Collaboration Agreement between the AOC Consortium and the Baix Penedès Regional Council for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the Municipal Population Register
    • Collaboration Agreement between the Consortium AOC and the Baix Empordà County Council for the electronic dispatch of flyers for the Municipal Population Register
