To check the validity of a certificate, you must follow the following steps:
- Have the operating certificate:
- If it is software, we will have it installed in the internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)
- If it is on a device (card or USB memory), we will have it connected to our computer.
- Once step 1 has been confirmed, we access the website https://scd.aoc.cat/test/sign (the recommended browsers to take this test are Google Chrome (Internet Explorer 11 is also recommended, but as of August 2021 Microsoft will stop supporting and updating this browser.
-
Write a test text and select the option with which you want to sign this text.
- If we have more than one certificate, we will be asked to select the one we want to check.
- It will ask for the certificate PIN if you are using a card certificate.
- When the page loads, it will show us the information related to the signature.
How to interpret the results: the result is as shown in the following image. You can see the signed text, the signature (a check indicating that everything was OK ) and information about the certificate that signed the text.
