A contract entered in the Public Contracts Registry may be returned to the contracting authority by the Consultative Board for correction of certain data. This status informs the user that contracts have been returned, following a review of their data by the technical services of the Consultative Board of Administrative Contracting.

To identify which contracts are returned, you must go to the contract consultation section and in the "contract status" field, choose the "returned contract" option. This way, when you search, all the returned contracts from this organization will appear on the screen.

To find out the reason why the contract was returned, you must go to the data correction section, search for the contract and access its data by clicking on the “Registration No.” of the contract in the results list. A screen will be displayed with the basic data of the contract and a button that says “returned data.” If you click on this button, a screen opens where you can see a message indicating the reason for the return of the contract. You can also search for returned contracts directly from data correction by choosing the “returned contract” option in the “contract status” field and performing the search.

The most common reason for returning a contract is due to a drop-out rate of more than 20%. If the data on the returned contract is incorrect, it must be corrected. If the data is correct, the contract must be resubmitted to the JCCA.
