Revocation is an irreversible state i that permanently invalidates a digital certificate.

Revocation of a certificate can be requested by:

  • The service manager
  • The person holding the certificate
  • The AOC Consortium, as a digital certification service provider

A Below we explain how to carry out the revocation depending on the applicant:

Steps a to be followed by the Digital Certification Service Manager

1. Access a l' <a href="http://www.eacat.cat/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">EACAT , specifically a Procedures>AOC Consortium>Digital Certification Service> T-CAT: Request for revocations

2. A the “Initial Information” tab is already selected l'revoke certificates option, so click a “Save draft” to a continue.

3. A the “Request data” tab you can write the certificate data a revoke (l the tool will detect the certificate automatically), o or you can search for the certificate with the magnifying glass.

If you select l' magnifying glass option the following screen will open:

Fill in the following information:

  • “Name” o “NIF/NIE” of the certificate a revoke.
  • L'status of the certificate which in our case is “Vvalid” by default, since if it is expired it cannot be revoked.
  • Select the “Certificate Type”

Click a “Search”

Once the certificate appears, you will be able to select it and click “Select” to continue.

4. A the “Application Announcements” tab selects the reason for revocation i a then “Next”

The main reasons for revocation are:

  • Compromise of the information contained in the certificate (for example change of subscriber data)
  • Compromise of the security of the o key of the certificate (for example suspicion of fraudulent use of the o certificate of the i PUK PIN).
  • Compromise of the cryptographic device (e.g. loss o unusability of the cryptographic device)
  • Reasons relating to the subscriber o to the key holder (for example end of the contractual relationship of the subscriber o change of the subscriber's data).
  • Inclusion a the list of prohibited subscribers (for example inclusion of a subscriber in the list of prohibited subscribers).
  • Others

5. A then sends the request a signature using the “Send a sign” button. L The user with the role of personal certificate applicant must sign the submission from EACAT/My procedures/To sign, pressing the “Sign” button.

The request will be registered a EACAT i in a few minutes the certificate will be automatically revoked. Once registered a EACAT the revocation enters the system i there is no possibility of reversing the request.

Steps a to be followed by the certificate holder

To revoke the certificate, you must access a l'addressa <a href="https://scd.aoc.cat/revocar">https://scd.aoc.cat/revocar i add the requested data. If you do not remember the Management Code:

  • You can find it in the email in which the PIN codes i PUK were sent to you.
  • You can find it on the delivery slip that you signed when receiving the T-CAT.
  • You can recover it by clicking the l'red link located at the end of the i screen. You can recover the data a l'email addressa indicated.

Revocation can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Once the requested data has been filled in, the holder will be able to revoke the certificate i. They will receive an email a l'addressa indicated with the change in status of the certificate i confirming that the certificate has been revoked. The message that the certificate has been revoked will also appear on the screen.

The holder can also revoke their certificate by calling 900 90 50 90 (24*7 service), where the management code must also be indicated.
