How to install l’native application for CÒPIA?

• On November 23, 2017, the lnative application was updated to solve some problems that had been detected with some “flatbed” o tabletop scanners (those that do not have a sheet feeder).
• On July 11, 2018, the l'native application was updated to solve some problems with certain scanners that caused the l'CÒPIA application not to detect that the digitization had been completed and the i would remain permanently a l'waiting. With the new improvement, a button has been added that allows the a l'user to end the digitization process when he deems it convenient. For this reason, we recommend downloading the latest version of the l'native application.
• On July 5, 2019, a new update was made for the renewal of the l'native application certificate due to the expiration of the previous l'on 08/27/2019. It will be necessary to l'update the l'application, after deleting the old certificate from the Windows certificate store. In this sense, we detail a under the steps a to follow:

1. Open the Windows console i access the certificate store by following the steps below:
   1. Select run from start menu i, a then type mmc . The MMC console appears.
   2. From the l' file menu, select add o remove add-on . The corresponding window will appear.
   3. From the available add- on choose certificates , a then select add .
   4. Search a “Trusted Certification Entitiesa” the certificate 'DEV_CA' i delete-it. Accept l'deletion.
2. Run the new native application i accept the installation of the new certificate.

• On December 9, 2020, l'native application of the Copia was updated to allow:
  • choose l'feeder tray o glass if l'scanner incorporates both options.
  • choose the l'scanner with which you want to make the copy in case the l'user has more than one connected a l'computer.

L'the only technical requirement for a to be able to use l'native application is that l'the user's computer has a Java JRE component with version 1.8 o higher to a be able to run this application.

In order to establish the connection between the scanning device i l'web application of the CÒPIA service, it is essential to install the following native application on your computer:

The standards supported by this native application are the following:

• Windows
  • WIA (Windows Image Acquisition)
• MAC OS X:
  • ICA (Image Capture Application)

• Once you have downloaded the ZIP file of l'native application (depending on your operating system) you must unzip i save the corresponding folder a a directory to which you have write permissions (for example, a C:\Users)
• To open the lapplication, simply double-click on the scanner.bat file

• A A window will then open, indicating, after a few seconds, that the l'application has started correctly. The first time you run l'you will be prompted to install a certificate in the certificate store on your l'computer. Just click Yes.

• After a few seconds, an icon will appear on your desktop bar indicating that the native application is working correctly.

Certificate public key installation

For those users who use the Chrome o Explorer browser, they do not need to take this step since the installation of the public key of the l application certificate is automatically installed when the l native application is installed.

If you want to use the Firefox browser, before installing the native application, you must load the <a href="https://www.aoc.cat/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/certificat_comunicacio_copia-1.zip">public key of the following digital certificate in the certificate store on your computer so that communication between l'application i the server is secure:

Open a Firefox browser window i go a “ Herramientas/Opciones/Avanzado/Certificado/Ver certificados “

Select the "Authorities" tab i press the "Import" button.

In the dialog box, indicate the location on your PC where you downloaded the .cer file containing the public part of the údigital certificate a to install. Once selected, press the “Open” button.

A the next screen check all the trust optionsa i click a “Accept” to install the certificate.
