An extension is the extension of the validity of a representation beyond the initial validity date. A representation has a maximum validity date of 5 years, therefore, within this period, the representation can be extended, that is, its validity can be extended.
Any valid representation that is i valid for less than a 5 years may be extended, with a maximum validity date of 5 years (counting the sum of the initial representation i and the successive extensions), if no new documentation is required to be attached to prove this extension of the representation.
Therefore,
If A represents a B for 1 year >>> n extensions can be made for the remaining 4 years
If A represen a B for 2 years >> n extensions can be made for the remaining 3 years
If, for the extension of the representation, it is necessary to attach a document that l'accredits, a new representation must be made.
Regarding the extension registration procedure, it is the same as new registrations:
- If the original representation did not have attached documentation, i therefore, it passed as "pending acceptance" >> authorization from lthe other party is required to make the extension.
- If the original representation had attached documentation i therefore, it went through l'status “pending validation” >> validation is required to carry out the extension.
If the representation is based on a new power of attorney document >> extension is not allowed, a new registration is required
If the representation has already expired >> extension is not allowed, a new registration is required.

If the initial representation was “pending acceptance” the principal may request an extension o the representative i l'must accept l'other party.
If the initial representation was “pending validation”, both the principal and the representative can request an extension. i l'must validate l'administration.
You need to search for the representation a extend, searching for the representations that exist between two people, a the "Management" tab.
Once there, if the representation meets the requirements (valid i validity less than a 5 years), a the "Actions" tab can be used to perform the "Extension".
The request of the person appearing must be attached, whether it is the principal o or the representative i, the request for extension may be made.
The request will remain in "Pending validation" o "Pending acceptance" depending on the life cycle of the original representation, as i explained in a l'section "How does the extension flow work?"
