How to manage an acceptance request?

When a representation is created without attached documentation, either at the request of the principal or at the request of the representative, it remains in the “Pending acceptance” status, waiting for the other party to accept it.

So if a representation is created without attached documentation and the request is made:

  • Principal: pending acceptance by the representative
  • Representative: pending acceptance by the principal

The procedure on the public employee portal will be the same in both cases. Therefore, if the person appearing wants to accept the representation previously requested by the other party (principal or representative), the data of the principal and representative must be uploaded to the home tab.

Once loaded, the representation or representations that exist between the two will appear, with their corresponding status.

In this case, you must access the representation or representations that are in the “Pending acceptance” status and go to the details.

There the representation details will appear and below them, the different action buttons that can be performed in this representation.

You will need to click on the “Accept” button and the option to attach the acceptance and monitoring request will appear, you will need to confirm acceptance.

Finally, the representation will appear with the new status “Valid”.

Does the representative need to give explicit consent?

It depends on the case.

In the event that the registration has documentation attached to it to be validated, it is not necessary. Once the registration is registered, it will be validated or denied by a public worker with the role of validator and depending on this it will be considered valid, either causing effect or denied. This is because it is understood that in a previous act the representative has already consented to this representation.

In the event that the registration does not contain attached documentation to be validated, the other party (the person who did not make the request) will need to explicitly accept it.

If the person registering the representation is the one granting the powers and provides the email address of the person who will be the representative, an email will be sent informing them of the appointment with a brief explanation of this circumstance and with the information to accept it. If the representative is not interested, they can renounce the appointment.

If it is the other way around, it works the same. If the person registering the representation is the representative and no documentation is attached, the representation will also be created as pending acceptance. If the email address of the person who will be the proxy is provided, an email will be sent informing them of the appointment with a brief explanation of this circumstance and with the information to accept it. If the proxy is not interested, they can renounce the representation.
