The identification process for obtaining the idCAT Certificate, provided for in article 7 of Law 6/2020, of November 11 (law regulating certain aspects of trusted electronic services) , establishes that a certificate can be issued on behalf of a third party, provided that the signature of the request has been legitimized by a notary (this certifies that the signature corresponds to the person filling out the document).

The idCAT Certificate application form must be completed, printed from the browser option (Ctrl+P on Windows; Command/Cmd?+P on Mac) and taken to the reference notary for legitimization.

Once the appropriate procedures have been completed with the notary, you will need to go in person to an idCAT registration entity to request the issuance of the digital certificate.
