One of the features you will find in eValisa is a powerful search engine, with a behavior very similar to that of Google, which will allow you to easily locate all your suitcases. This search engine is located at the top of the main menu and has the following features (you can combine all these options as many times as you need):
- The fields of the suitcase where the search will be performed are the following:
- Subject.
- Body.
- Content of the attached files (provided that these are office documents, such as PDFs, DOCs or other text files).
- By default, if you specify more than one word, the search engine will look for suitcases that contain all of those words.
- If you want to include 2 or more words in your search, meaning that the search results include any of the words indicated, you can separate them with the 'or' option. For example, if you want to locate suitcases that include the word 'organism' or 'entity' you should enter: 'organism or entity'.
- If you need to exclude a specific word, you can precede it with the word 'no'. For example, if you are searching for suitcases related to publications in the official gazette, but you also see publications related to the BOE that you want to discard, you could search for: 'non-BOE publication'.
- You can use the wildcards '_' (to refer to a single character) and '%' (for multiple characters) to search for partial words. For example, if you search for the word 'secretar%', the search engine will locate cases that include the words: 'secretari', 'secretaris', 'secretaria', 'secretarias', etc.
- It is not case sensitive or accent sensitive.
- By default, the search is performed in all the trays of your suitcase (or the owner's suitcase if you are a collaborating user who has the owner's suitcase selected at the time of the search).
If you wish, you can expand the advanced search to specify the behavior of the search. To do this, click on the Options button, which will show you a form where you can indicate:
· Which tray to limit the search to.
· The name of the sending user.
· The name of the recipient user.
· Search start date.
· Search end date.
· Registration number.
Once you have performed the search, the Search Results tray will appear with the suitcases that meet the search criteria indicated. From the results tray you can access the details of the suitcase you want simply by clicking on it.
